Install Elias Plugin for Unity

Install Plugin to OS

  • The plugin is installed at the same time as the Elias Studio is installed.
  • Locate the Extras folder found in the location where the Elias Studio is installed.
    • A quick way to locate the folder is to click the three dots in the top left corner of the Elias Studio Application window, go to File, and select “open extras folder”. This will open the location in the OS file browser.
  • From the extras folder, go into the “integrations” folder, and then the unity-plugin.
  • Inside the folder, the plugin is found as “audio.elias.unity-plugin-X.X.X.tgz” (Version number will change depending on the installed version).

Install Plugin to Unity project

  • Start the Unity editor and load the project that the plugin should be added to.
  • Open the Unity Package Manager located under the Windows menu.
  • Select "Install package from tarball" by clicking the “+” symbol.
  • Locate the file "audio.elias.unity-plugin-X.X.X.tgz" and select it.
  • Wait for the plugin to install.
  • The Elias plugin for Unity can now be used with the active Unity project.

Install Sample

  • When the Elias Unity Plugin is selected in the Package Manager, the Samples tab can be selected in the right area of the window.
  • Click the import button to add the Elias Footstep Demo to the active Unity project.
    The Footstep Demo contains the following: 
    • A scene with scripts with FPS controls and a system to detect surface types. 
    • An Elias Project with audio samples and a patch for handling pulses and a surface switcher for playing the different audio assets.
